“Bibingka” is a delectable ink with a buttery yellow base and tints of orange shading, sprinkled on top with silver shimmer. Bibingka is a baked rice cake usually eaten for merienda or breakfast, especially during the Christmas season. It is traditionally cooked in a teracotta oven lined with banana leaves and made with ground soaked glutinous rice (galapóng), water, and coconut milk.

Puto Bumbong is a delicious dark purple ink, topped with a resplendent gold shimmer. Puto bumbong is traditionally steamed in bamboo tubes and made from a unique heirloom variety of glutinous rice called pirurutong (also called tapol in Visayan), which is deep purple to almost black in color. It is often sold at food stalls and markets after Simbang Gabi (dawn masses) during the Christmas season.
